An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer service skills to join our new Volunteer team anchored within Cardiff Hubs & Libraries.
About the job
You will be required to manage a team of Community Volunteer coordinators, Community Inclusion Officers & Volunteer mentors across the city who enlist volunteers & deliver Community Inclusion participation events
You will be required to develop, manage and implement a programme of Volunteer opportunities to promote improved outcomes for citizens.
You will be required to coordinate the activities of community volunteer champions, who will work with community groups.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have excellent customer service skills and experience of coordinating events
You will have experience of managing and overseeing campaigns and social media content, working with established groups to achieve a broad reach.
You will have experience of building effective working relationships with key services within the Council and other public and third sector organisations to develop a shared view of the key issues, priorities and activities.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh would be an advantage.
