The Housing and Communities Directorate within Cardiff Council plays an important role in the vibrancy of the city and is committed to the communities it serves. The Directorate has an ambitious house building schemes and a significant housing stock which is set to exceed 14,000 homes by the end of the year.
About the job
The post is within the Building Improvement Unit’s Compliance Team, which plays a key role in ensuring all statutory requirements in respect of building Health & Safety are fulfilled.
The Compliance Technician will be responsible for:
- To provide effective and efficient central coordination and administration.
- Support compliance assessors / officers monitoring of the service.

What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual who can assist the compliance team with this busy, varied and growing area of compliance.
You will have an understanding of Health & Safety, assist the compliance team in meeting the statutory requirement inspections, a proven track record of working in a social housing environment in a similar complex area and be able to manage multiple priorities. You will need an understanding of legislation and be able to work or assist with external partners.
