To help us continue with our positive progress to date and to continue to successfully divert children and young people from the youth justice system; the Ministry of Justice has introduced the Turnaround grant which has allowed us to re-brand and re-launch our Youth Justice prevention offer throughout Cardiff under the banner of ‘Crossroads’
To ensure clear oversight and management of this exciting new project, we are pleased to offer the opportunity of a Crossroads Project Manager.
The post is offered on a Ministry of Justice grant funded basis, initially until 31stMarch 2025 and will sit within the YJS Prevention & Partnerships team.
What We Are Looking For From You
The main objective of this post will be to manage the allocation of casework and coordinate interventions and activities for young people referred to YJS for Crossroads support.
You will have experience of project management; supervisory experience is highly desirable, and you will also demonstrate high levels of understanding of the criminal justice system as it affects children and young people (aged 10 –17) who offend and/or commit anti-social behaviour.
You will have experience of working within the principles of restorative approaches, demonstrate how you can engage with disaffected children and young people and be able to evidence building positive relationships with young people, their families and wider partnerships and communities to achieve positive outcomes.
Experience of collating and reporting of data and statistics would be highly beneficial.
