About The Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer service skills to manage the Community Hubs and Libraries within the west district of Cardiff (Ely Caerau, Fairwater, Llandaff North Hubs & Canton Library). The successful applicant will manage and coordinate a professional face to face service, including building management.
About the job
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the teams and ensuring a professional service is delivered to all.
Services provided include full Library provision, advice on Housing & Benefits, digital & financial inclusion along with partnership working and arranging tailored community events.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have expert knowledge on providing Library services including arranging Community events.
Ideally, you will have expert knowledge on Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction scheme, Housing including the Welfare Reform Act and the options available to help those affected. In addition you will have knowledge on a wide range of council services including Waste management.
You will work closely with partner organisations and advice agencies to ensure a fully accessible co-ordinated service is provided.
You will have experience of managing staff, mentoring, coaching and resolving more complex enquiries and disputes in a positive and constructive manner.
You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, work well in a team and have a flexible approach. You will have exceptional communication and IT skills.

This post is temporary until 28th January 2022.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, Somali, Arabic or Polish would be an advantage.
Weekend and evening working will be required on a rota basis and location of work may vary.
