Cardiff Council is looking for an enthusiastic Electoral Services Officer to provide support with the co-ordination and delivery of major and local elections or polls in the City of Cardiff.

You will play a key role in supporting election preparations.  You will supervise the allocation and booking of polling stations and venues.   You will support the production of official election documentation including notices, poll cards, postal vote packs and ballot papers.  You will recruit and appoint staff to perform various election roles including polling staff, count staff and postal voting staff. 

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful applicant will have experience in electoral services including conducting elections.  You will have experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.  You must be able to work to tight deadlines and work effectively and remain calm under pressure. 

 

The post requires working extended hours, weekends and bank holidays, during periods leading up to elections.
