About The Service
The Family Help Adviser will be part of the Family Help home visiting team providing rapid interventions for families who without assistance may need more intensive support or safeguarding in the future.
About the job
You will be the key worker, responsible for identifying and assessing the well-being needs of the whole family, directly delivering short-term interventions and ensuring that all necessary support is in place to prevent clients requiring intensive assistance or the escalation to safeguarding teams.
You will contribute to the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the Council and Early Help Service.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will be required to undertake assessments of need and develop action plans, keep accurate and timely records, produce written reports and establish effective, professional working relationships.
You must be able to understand and demonstrate an awareness of equal opportunities and have an understanding of and a commitment to a child’s rights approach.
You will be a clear and effective communicator.
You will have a nurturing and empathetic approach, be motivated and possess an enthusiastic drive that encourages clients to engage with service.
Additional information
There are three posts available:
1x Full Time / Permanent
1x Full Time / Temporary (until 31/03/2023 due to funding)
1x Part Time (22.5 hours) / Temporary (to provide cover for the substantive postholder until 29/02/2024)
