About The Service
CTS is responsible for a fleet of over 900 vehicles and around 600 pieces of small plant equipment. Approximately 100 of these vehicles are Operator licenced vehicles, mainly RCV’s and support the cities cleaning operations. To support all these assets the council has a large main workshop in Grangetown and 2 smaller satellite workshops at operating centres.
Our Fleet Admin Department, (FAD) helps to support all the vital functions of the Council where vehicles are needed. FAD does this by ensuring maintenance records, fuel, and taxation, internal or external charges all happen smoothly and in compliance with regulations. The work can be varied and good communications are needed to ensure the busy operation stays on track.
