About the job

The suitable applicant must demonstrate that they meet the requirements for a Grade 8 Fostering Supervising Social Worker as described in the Job Description and Person Specification.

You will be responsible for supporting and supervising an enthusiastic group of foster carers, with whom you will be expected to build and develop effective partnerships, in addition to assessing and recruiting new foster carers.  

As a Grade 8 Social Work Practitioner, you will be able to set a standard of leadership for the service. Fully participate with the services priorities, show initiative, take responsibility and be accountable.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful applicants must also be able to demonstrate that they have excellent knowledge of work relating to Children who are Looked After by the Local authority

Applications are welcomed from candidates with a Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification, with post qualification experience of working as a social worker in Children’s Social Care and who are registered with Social Care Wales.
