About The Service
Cardiff Councils Hostel and Support Services provide accommodation, a housing management service, advice and support to vulnerable people in housing need. Our Service is made up of Ty Tresillian, Adams Court, Litchfield Court, Ty Countisbury, The YHA Hostel, Adams Court, Cold Weather provision as well as other services currently being developed.
Our services run 24/7 365 days a year and the successful candidates will work across a five week working pattern.. The successful candidate will be required to work weekends on a regular basis and attend team meetings

We are recruiting for multiple posts to support the rapid expansion of our service area.
We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to candidates looking to join a busy and established service. Due to the COvid19 situation, our service has had to make large changes and the successful candidates will contribute to the creation of new projects.
As a Hostel Services Officer you will undertake duties such as housing management, crisis intervention, providing advice, guidance and support as well as providing opportunities to our clients. When applying for the role you will be expected to work across this range of duties with a focus on a particular area.
These posts are in our Homeless Single Persons Service.
The working environment can be challenging so the ability to remain calm under pressure will be an advantage. The role will require the successful candidate to support the Hostel Services Manager with all aspects of the service.

Experience of working in a Hostel and Support environment and understanding of the issues faced by homeless individuals will be an advantage.
