About The Service

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer service & coordination skills to manage District Hubs and Libraries across Cardiff.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for managing District Hub Managers coordinating a professional service covering all aspects of Building Management, Advice Provision, Library Services, Community Events - ensuring maximum Hub utilisation & General Council Enquiries.

About the job

  • To manage and motivate the Hub teams responsible for providing a localised face to face advice service across the city including advice on Housing Benefit, Council Tax, & Housing Options/prevention and a wide range of general Council enquiries- such as waste management
  • To coordinate & deliver a range of Hub services including full Library provision, events and all age-related activities.
  • To promote & encourage financial and digital inclusion by providing practical assistance and advice.
  • To work closely with all external and internal partners, ensuring good communication is maintained.
  • To oversee budgets, monitor income generation and ensure hub utilisation is maximised.
  • To ensure Health & Safety is maintained within all buildings.

What We Are Looking For From You

  • You will have experience of managing staff, mentoring, carrying out Audit checks, managing health & safety within buildings, resolving more complex enquiries and disputes in a positive and constructive manner.
  • You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, work well in a team and have a flexible approach. You will have exceptional leadership skills, communication, and IT skills.
  • You will have experience of internal / external partnership working

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, Somali, Arabic or Polish would be an advantage.

Weekend and evening working will be required on a rota basis and location of work may vary.
