About The Service
The Community Teaching Team is part of the wider Targeted Support Service. The team provides support for children and young people with health and exceptional circumstances which mean they cannot access mainstream school. it is a key component of Education Other Than at School provision in Cardiff.
About the job
The purpose of the role will be to work as a senior member of the Community Teaching Team. The successful candidate will have a 0.4 teaching commitment and will spend 0.6 of their role working at a strategic level to ensure that all learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) who are supported by the Community Teaching Team have their needs met and that the team are skilled and equipped to meet the requirements of ALN reform.

Salary: Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (£27,491 - £42,333 per annum)
This post is temporary until 31st March 2023.
Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
