About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Children’s Services for an experienced Childrens Services Manager.

Here in Cardiff, we believe that children young people and their families should have the right type of support at the time they need it. That’s why we have developed our early intervention and prevention services to make sure families can access a range of services and tiered support to prevent the need for statutory social work intervention.

About the job

The role is to Service Manage our Early Help Team Support 4 Families and the multiple teams that make up the Intervention Hub. This includes Edge of Care, Family Support, Young Carers, Domestic Abuse, Out of Hours and Emotional Wellbeing.

What We Are Looking For From You

Candidates must have extensive statutory Social Worker experience at Manager level and be highly skilled at problem solving, strategic service development and working across agencies.

Candidates will be confident in overseeing a large group of staff and be efficient in the application of Council policy and procedure.

Candidates will be proficient at managing budgets and review quality of care through quality assurance frameworks.
