About The Service
The Employee Counselling Service is part of the Council’s Occupational Health Service that supports Cardiff Council's employees in all aspects of wellbeing, on a 1:1 basis via teams, telephone or face to face appointments. In addition, they also offer group support via a programme of wellbeing topics and bespoke groups where necessary.
The service is currently working successfully with CAVC to place 'ready to practice' volunteer students within ECS.
About the job
This post is full-time (37 hrs) permanent. ECS counsellors are based at Radyr Court, Radyr Place, Mynachdy, Cardiff CF14 3HP, with the ability to work from home occasionally, and off-site at other Council locations when necessary.

What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual with extensive counselling and management experience to provide line management and supervision to ECS counsellors and volunteer student counsellors.
To uphold Continuous Professional Development, both personally and with supervisory reports, in accordance with BACP requirements, and to ensure working practices are always in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.
You should be flexible in your approach with an ability to respond to service area needs and demands.
