About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Education Partnerships and Performance Service.

The Education and Lifelong Learning Directorate provides the strategic, professional and operational support to enable the Council to fulfil its responsibilities for early years education, statutory age education, education in school sixth forms and a youth service.

There are 127 schools in Cardiff; 3 nursery schools, 98 primary schools, 18 secondary schools, 7 special schools and 1 Pupil Referral Unit. The work of the Directorate is organised into four service areas:

  • Achievement
  • Inclusion
  • Services to Schools
  • School Organisation, Access and Planning

About the job

In this role, you will provide efficient and effective Personal Assistant (PA) support to the Assistant Director of Education and wider administrative support to the Performance and Governance functions of the Education Directorate. You will contribute to continuous improvement in customer care and business processes.

We are looking for a motivated, organised and responsible individual with excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a range of colleagues and partners. The ability to work well independently and as part of a team is essential, and the ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality at all times.
