About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer service and managerial skills to support and develop our Money Advice Team. The team provide assistance to over 10,000 number of people a year and have assisted in identifying over £19 million in weekly benefits for residents of Cardiff and are currently providing support for the Cost of Living Crisis.

About the job

The successful candidate will manage the team who provide advice on, income maximisation, budgeting, emergency schemes such as foodbank vouchers and debts. The role will be managing and developing the service, ensuring that KPI data is submitted each month, coordinating the team’s location of service, providing over the phone advice as well as face to face in hubs, hostels and foodbanks.

You will have a good knowledge of welfare and benefits, grants and discounts as well as housing / benefit procedures and preferably will have experience of working within a customer facing role. You will have experience of managing staff, liaising with partner organisations and senior management.

What We Are Looking For From You

You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, work well in a team and have a flexible approach. You will have exceptional communication and IT skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner.

This post is suitable for job share.

You will be required to work on a rota basis to include Saturdays and weekends: shifts will be variable according to needs of the service.

The location of work may vary.
