Permanent Moving Traffic Enforcement Officer roles have become vacant within the Civil Parking Enforcement Team.
The core function of this role will require you to operate camera enforcement equipment and drive mobile enforcement vehicles to enforce relevant parking and traffic regulations.
About the job
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and assessing video footage of potential parking and traffic contraventions against the Councils assessment criteria. This will involve identifying bus lane, parking and moving traffic offences. Identify and make decisions on any contraventions and initiate statutory processes.
- Undertaking patrols in the Camera Car to identify illegal parking around schools and other restricted areas. Issue penalty charge notices in accordance with current legislation.
What We Are Looking For From You
Special conditions
- The post holder must at all times hold a full motor vehicle driving licence
- The post holder, where appropriate, will be required to wear approved uniform whilst on duty
- The post holder will be required to undertake occasional overtime work to cover absence through leave, sickness and when events are in progress in the city
Additional information
This post is full time and will work 37 hours per week. The salary is £20812 - £21968 per annum.
A full valid driving licence is required, in addition to successfully achieving the City & Guilds Civil Enforcement Officer qualification.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Standard check.
