A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist Team Manager working within Independent Living Services.

About the job

The successful candidate will manage, support and develop a sub team of staff, which will consist of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. You will take responsibility for the day to day operational delivery of the Occupational Therapy (OT) Service, to undertake all tasks required in the management of staff as required by Cardiff Council policies i.e. sickness absence, health & safety, leave etc.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidate will have experience of managing others, with significant post qualifying experience. You will have an in-depth knowledge of the legislation that governs the provision of services and understand and apply the principles of performance management in order to implement and manage change. You will have excellent organisational skills, be able to communicate effectively, set priorities, demonstrate effective time management and work independently. It is essential that you possess a degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy, be registered with the Health Care Professions Council, hold a full valid driving licence and have use of a vehicle with business insurance.

It is essential that you have experience of working proactively with clients with physical disabilities and/or older people, hold a full valid driving licence and have use of a vehicle with business insurance.
