About The Service

A great opportunity has arisen to join The Storey Arms Outdoor Education Centre as one of the established outdoor tutor team.

As an outdoor tutor, you will work from The Storey Arms Centre in Y Bannau Brycheiniog.

Our aim is to provide a programme that is varied and meets the curriculum focus of the visiting group, therefore, a flexible and dynamic approach is essential. The successful candidate will work with primary, secondary, ALN schools as well as the youth service and adult users of the centre.

About the job

The role will involve helping to deliver exciting outdoor education residential and day visit programmes for schools and the youth service in line with the new Curriculum for Wales.

During the residential visits the post holder will be required to work an evening duty each week as well as regular weekend work.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are hoping to recruit an enthusiastic individual who has proven experience working within the sector with ALN, vulnerable and mainstream young people, who also holds relevant outdoor qualifications and has a driving licence. The post holder will be given opportunities to gain further qualifications in the outdoors and time for self-development.
