Cardiff Council is delivering a large scale and exciting new build housing programme and due to an increase in our development opportunities we are looking to increase our resources to ensure our aspirations are delivered. We are looking for two experienced Project Managers (Pre-Contract) to lead project teams and take forward development opportunities from inception through to planning.   

About the job

The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of our projects at a pre-development stage. Reviewing site opportunities & constraints from the initial design stage through to planning.  You will appoint a project team of consultants and co-ordinate the work of lead officers to ensure projects are developed and delivered to the correct standards (including WDQR’21), within timescales and within financial constraints. Helping us to Ensure that we continue to deliver new homes at scale and pace.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidate will be an experienced project manager in social housing delivery, with a strong track record of managing capital projects and have the right knowledge and expertise to successfully deliver social housing projects through to planning.  You will know what works with financial constraints so that you can ensure our projects are viable. You will have the vision to identify future opportunities for the development programme and the ability to plan strategically for the needs of the service.

The right individual will share our vision of delivering quality, sustainable, low carbon homes at scale.
