About The Service

Cardiff Family Advice and Support is an innovative and progressive service within the directorate of Children’s Services in Cardiff Council. Accredited with a Families First Quality Award, the service provides high quality information, advice and assistance for children, young people, families and professionals across the city.

The service utilises a family centred, strengths based and inclusive approach, to identify the most appropriate support that will meet the wellbeing needs of both individuals and the family as a whole. The teams within the service work collaboratively with a range of professionals and partners to ensure support is at the right level and at the right time.

About the job

We are seeking to appoint a Grade 8 Quality Assurance and Development Manager who will be responsible for assuring the quality of the service delivered, the branding and communications strategy for Early Help, and the approach to customer care and equalities through the analysis of data and work with partners on developing new pathways or projects.

  • A comprehensive understanding of the complex needs of children, young people and their families.
  • An ability to analyse strategic information, setting objectives and targets, reviewing performance and evaluating outcomes to develop effective services.
  • An ability to demonstrate an understanding of new and innovative communication methods which support the promotion of awareness of the service to a range of stakeholders.
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package and of case management systems.

The right individual will also be able to recognise whether an individual is at risk and be able to consult and liaise with Social Workers and with other professionals or partner agencies as required.
