Cardiff Bereavement Services is a multi-award winning service operating a crematorium and 8 cemeteries across Cardiff delivering a high standard of service to the bereaved and service users in a most sensitive working environment. The registration team are based at Thornhill Crematorium enquiries office and customer service is at the heart of what we do. We are therefore looking for a customer focused individual to join our front line team in the delivery of exceptional customer care and providing advice on all aspects of the facilities, options and services available.
About the job
You will be part of a dedicated team in a busy front line office, working 37 hours per week. The role will require the successful candidate to carry out duties relating to the statutory registration of all burials, cremations and exhumations. Operate a booking service and liaise with Funeral Directors in the preparation of funeral services. Advising the bereaved and service users on all matters relating to options and services available.
Administration of the supply, lease and fixing of after cremation commemorative plaques and issuing of memorial permits to monumental masons. Dealing with daily correspondence.

We are looking for someone who has previous administration experience in a customer focussed environment who is an excellent communicator to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The successful candidate must have the ability to be attentive to detail, competent in the use of IT systems and has ability to deal with often distressed individuals in an emphatic way whilst providing professional advice and guidance. We are looking for a individual with a positive attitude to new challenges and a flexible approach to work.
