Cardiff Councils Support and Accommodation Service provide accommodation, advice and support to vulnerable single people and families in housing need.

Our services run 24/7 365 days a year.

Due to the Covid19 pandemic, our service has had to make large changes and the successful candidates will contribute to the expansion of the service.

 

About the job

Cardiff Councils SAIL ( Supporting Adults into Independent Living)  service provides social housing  to individuals who have a history of homelessness and require support to live independently.

As a SAIL Officer you will be required to support people to maintain their tenancy, seeking to remove barriers and ending the cycle of homelessness.

The role of the SAIL Officer requires the candidate to work with multiple agencies including Cardiff Probation Service, Substance Misuse Services, Local Authority Landlords and Housing Association Landlords and professionals.

The successful candidate will be required to provide floating tenancy support to individuals in their homes.

We are looking for dynamic, motivated and creative individuals with the ability to foster positive relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking for a variety of people from various working backgrounds to make a real difference.  Proven experience of working with people with complex behaviours and an understanding of the issues faced by homelessness would be an advantage.

The working environment can be challenging so the ability to remain calm under pressure will be an advantage. The role will require the successful candidate to support the management team with all aspects of the service.

A full valid driving license is essential as the successful candidate will be required to work from multiple locations.
