Customer and Digital Services, Digital Delivery Team Opportunity

The development of Digital Services that benefit the customer is a key objective supporting Cardiff’s Digital Strategy. Cardiff already has a well-established website, Cardiff.gov.uk which sees monthly visitor numbers approaching 190K and an expanding portfolio of smaller sites focused on service specific initiatives. Cardiff has also developed its mobile app to increase the opportunity for channel shift and make core services accessible 24/7.

About the job

This post plays a critical role in expanding the number of digital services available to citizens across the Council’s website and Mobile Application. The postholder will be responsible for capturing key business requirements and redesigning them to make services as simple and accessible as possible for our citizens.

What We Are Looking For From You

An experienced Business Analyst is required within the Digital Delivery Team to work closely with Service Areas within the Council to identify services which can be delivered through our online platforms. The main functions of the role include Business Analysis, Requirements Definition, Business Modelling and Business Process Improvement.

The post holder should be experienced in managing relationships with various stakeholder groups and a proven ability to deliver projects on time with a clear understanding of the financial case for change. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working within agile delivery projects that have led to successful outcomes.

The successful candidate will also have a clear understanding of the latest trends in the development of digital services, new technologies in use and a knowledge of the legislative requirements surrounding accessibility and the Welsh Language standards.

Additional information

The post is officially based at County Hall although during COVID the majority of the role is based working from home however, where restrictions allow, there will be a requirement to visit council offices around Cardiff to work with Service Areas.
