About The Service

We currently have a vacancy for Senior Care Officer within our Cardiff Day Centres, delivering a service that provides support to adults living with Dementia. People are supported by the service to access a wide range of day opportunities within a care setting.

About the job

The successful applicants will work as part of an established team supporting adults living with dementia to access daytime opportunities. This role requires the post holder to oversee the quality of care & support needs of users of the day centre, to ensure their physical and emotional well-being needs are met; along with delivering & supporting participation in social & recreational activities.

What We Are Looking For From You

Ideally, you will have experience of working with older people living with dementia & experience of staff supervision & mentoring, you should hold the QCF care level 2 for the post, along with the willingness to undertake relevant designated training courses. You will need to be flexible, and have a positive & happy attitude, along with the ability to engage, encourage and support staff. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
