About The Service

The Pest Control Team deliver a busy frontline service to all residents and businesses in Cardiff. We are currently looking for a Senior Clerical Assistant to assist with dealing with enquiries about the service, taking bookings and providing advice to the public. The role is also responsible for ordering supplies, invoicing customers and handling payments.

About the job

On a daily basis the role includes answering phones and responding to e-mails from customers some of which may result in a booking and taking of payments. It also includes inputting data relating to the previous days jobs that the Technicians have attended and providing updates and reports to other Council departments and external partners. You will need to undertake all ordering, payments and invoicing as well as maintaining accurate records and meeting required deadlines. You will also need to liaise closely with partners to maintain contracts and service level agreements.

Other tasks will include updating pest advice literature, sending advisory letters, completing sewer maps and using Council IT systems such as SAP and Capita.   

The successful candidate will also be required to help the Team get set up on Sharepoint and move towards using mobile working Technology.

37 Hours Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm

Based at the Highways Depot, Brindley Road
