Our Cardiff Academy Team is looking to employ a Service Delivery Lead – Welsh Language who will hybrid work and be located at City Hall, Cardiff, CF10 3ND for a proportion of their time and home based.
Our Cardiff Academy is part of our Human Resources Service, providing training opportunities for Council employees and to other public sector bodies in Cardiff. The successful applicant will work as part of a team to deliver this first class service.
About the job
You will deliver Welsh language related training courses and courses in the medium of Welsh, to internal staff and other public sector bodies, supporting employee learning and development.
You will work closely with the Council’s Welsh Translation Team (Bilingual Cardiff) Officers and colleagues within the Academy to ensure training reflects the needs of each service area and content accurately reflects Welsh Language Standards and Welsh National Curriculum requirements.
A proportion of training will be delivered virtually however some courses will require delivery onsite at City Hall. You will be provided with the required device/equipment to enable homeworking.
Standard working hours 9:00-17:00, Monday-Friday however flexibility when required to work outside of these hours.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working as a trainer, creating and delivering face-to-face training to customers whilst demonstrating a good insight into the principles behind high quality Welsh language related learning and development and the role it plays in supporting an organisation.
