Cardiff Councils has recently created the Supported Accommodation and Assessment Section. This Service provides accommodation, advice and support to vulnerable single people and families in housing need.

Our services run 24/7 365 days a year.

Due to the Covid19 pandemic, our service has had to make large changes and the successful candidates will contribute to the expansion of the service.

About the job

The Senior Diversionary Activities and Engagement Officer will be responsible for the management and delivery of the diversionary acitivites service. Ensuring the service offers a range of opportunites in the field of Education, employment and upskilling. To ensure service users have a platform to develop skills that promote independant living.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for dynamic, motivated and creative individuals with the ability to foster positive relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking for a variety of people from various working backgrounds to make a real difference. Proven experience of working with people with complex behaviours and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless individuals will be an advantage

The working environment can be challenging so the ability to remain calm under pressure will be an advantage. The role will require the successful candidate to support the management team with all aspects of the service.
