About the job

This role provides HR advice, support and guidance to the Council’s School Organisation Programme, as well as supporting the workforce planning and change management processes to ensure compliance with Council and school HR policies as well employment legislation.

The work entails working with colleagues across the Council, and in particular the Education, Finance and Legal Services. In addition, there is extensive engagement with stakeholders such as school governing bodies, school employees and trade unions.

In addition, the post holder supports the HR function by undertaking employee relations activities, for example, Employment Tribunals and policy development.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for someone with HR experience and in particular experience of supporting change management process and giving advice and guidance.

You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to build effective and positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

You will need to be flexible and adaptable and be able to manage your own workload and to prioritise according to customer needs.

Additional information

This post is available on a temporary basis to cover for a maternity leave, until approximately November 2021.
