The Education and Lifelong Learning Directorate provides the strategic, professional and operational support to enable the Council to fulfil its responsibilities for early years education, statutory age education, education in school sixth forms and a youth service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time (3 days a week) post to work as a Specialist Inclusion Teacher for the Early Years and Disability Inclusion Team in a variety of non-maintained settings and schools to ensure all children are included with their needs met and can make progress through appropriate Additional Learning Provision.
The role will involve ensuring children access their entitlements by planning and overseeing transition in partnership with parents/carers, settings and other professionals from the local authority, education, health, children’s services and the third sector.
What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and resourceful individual with experience of multiagency working and experience of working for a LA Education Service or School. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, work effectively as part of a team and be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service

This post is part time and will work 0.6FTE/3 days. The salary shown however relates to full time hours (5 days) and will therefore be pro-rata’d accordingly.
This post has a requirement for registration with the Education Workforce Council.
