The post holder will be a part of the business team within Civil Parking Enforcement. The team deals with Cardiff’s Parking (On & Off street / Resident) and Enforcement activity (Parking Enforcement / Moving Traffic Enforcement). Inclusive of Bus Lane, Yellow Box Junction, Banned movements.

Secondment opportunity for 1 year for a Grade 5 Support Officer (Transport, Programme & Budget) is required within Planning, Transport and Environment Team. The secondment will start in September 2021.
To be responsible to the Section Leader for :
Monitoring, allocating and reporting on the financial activity of the enforcement service, in terms of the enforcement and parking revenue accounts and any associated capital accounts. Assisting in the preparation of the financial content of the annual report. Managing the general administrative needs of the enforcement service, including the organisation of raising purchase orders, external bills and payment of invoices, providing advice and support on Council financial procedures and regulations. The successful candidate will provide evidence of working with financial systems, an understanding of financial control & procedures.

You will have the ability to analyse be methodical with a keen eye for detail.
You will have the ability to interrogate information, identify anomalies and be proactive in obtaining potential solutions.
You will be confident with people and have an aptitude for learning.
You will be comfortable with driving improvements and using technology to facilitate this.
