About The Service
Bryn y Deryn is a KS4 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) for 80 pupils who have behavioural, emotional, mental health and social difficulties.
We are seeking to appoint two Teaching Assistants.
About the job
The job purpose is to work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for challenging learners and provide general support to the teacher in the management of learners and the classroom, including preparation, and routine maintenance of resources/equipment.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful applicants will work as part of a team and have previous experience of working with learners who have behaviour social and mental health problems and be able to empathise with pupils’ difficulties.

These posts carries an additional SEN payment.
These posts are part time and will work 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. The salary shown however relates to 37 hours per week and will therefore be pro-rata’d accordingly.
Actual Term Time Salary for a full academic year (1st September - 31st August): £13,709 - £14,548
These posts have a requirement for registration with the Education Workforce Council.
