Bryn y Deryn is a KS4 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) for 80 learners who have behavioural, emotional and social needs and a centre for those that have Mental Health and Social needs.
Bryn y Deryn had a very successful inspection and has been a ‘Green A’ category school for several years.
About the job
Job Purpose: To work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support behaviour, access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom, including preparation, and routine maintenance of resources/equipment. Breaktime and lunchtime supervision.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful applicant will work as part of a team and have previous experience of working with learners with challenging behaviour and or mental health problems and be able to empathise with learners’ difficulties.

This post is part time/term time and will work 32.5 hours per week/39 weeks per year. The salary shown however relates to 37 hours per week/52 weeks per year and will therefore be pro-rata’d accordingly.
