About The Service
Recycling & Neighbourhood Services is part of the Economic Development Directorate of Cardiff Council. It is responsible for attaining a high standard of cleanliness on public land throughout Cardiff. It provides a city wide cleansing service 7 days a week including mechanical sweeping, manual cleansing and litter bin emptying.
About the job
We are looking for a team coordinator to ensure that cleansing activities take place to the standard required. You will be required to cover duties commensurate with your role throughout Cardiff on a day to day basis.
What We Are Looking For From You
Duties will include coordinating individuals and teams to deliver cleansing activities. Driving small mechanical vehicles, (C1 essential),sweepers, transits, as well as manually sweeping, litter picking and emptying litter bins throughout the city/in the City Centre.
You should be able to work alone and on your own initiative. You should be physically able to carry out the duties of the post, be able to deal calmly with members of the public.

Requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
This post is part time and will work 24.00 hours per week. The pro-rata salary
is £16,851 to £19,314 per annum.
The hours of work will be: 05:00 – 18:00 Saturday & Sunday (enhancements for weekend working).
