An exciting opportunity had arisen for a committed individual to join our Tenant Participation Team.

We welcome applications from those who wish to work directly with Cardiff Council tenants to improve the housing services provided to them.

 

About the job

The main function of the post will be to assist, support and develop tenants, and leaseholders’ participation in housing services across Cardiff. The post will develop this participation through a variety of ways, ranging from planning and delivering large-scale tenants events, to 1:1 work with tenants.

The post will encourage tenants & leaseholders to have a voice in how their housing services are delivered, in order for housing services to continually improve. The post holder will be required to independently plan and deliver innovative ways of engaging and consulting with our diverse community of tenants.

 

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, and be able to communicate effectively with tenants as well as senior members of staff.

Ideally the candidate would have experience in planning and delivering events, as this is a large part of the role. In addition, experience of working with customers, preferably from a social housing background, would be beneficial.

Being able to work to strict deadlines and be extremely flexible is vital for this role. You will also have experience of working with IT systems, as well as preferably designing digital content, in addition to having the ability to work as part of a team.

This post is temporary until 30/09/2025.
