The post is based in the Finance Division that is within the Resources Directorate.
The Transactional Finance Section provides a high quality, accurate and customer focussed service that includes accounts payable and pay control.
About the job
The successful candidate will manage the Transactional Finance Section, currently based at County Hall, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff.
This is a new team that has brought together the accounts payable and pay control teams, together with some administration functions.
You will be supervising and managing a team of 19 employees, delivering an effective payments and administration function within agreed timescales.
You will ensure the team delivers its functions in a professional manner complying with financial regulations and procurement guidelines.
What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for a manager to be part of the new transactional finance section, that will drive forward continuous improvement in the services being delivered.
You will be engaging with internal and external stakeholders and have excellent communication and relationship building skills.
