About The Service

Cardiff Council is a local government organisation responsible for delivering over 700 different services to our citizens, visitors, and businesses across Cardiff. It is important to us that our workforce better reflects the communities we serve. We are looking to expand our Urban Ranger Team.

Our Urban Rangers Team is looking to employ 3 x Urban Ranger Positions based at Wedal Road Depot, CF14 3QU.

The service includes the provision of information concerning facilities and events, locking of parks as required, inspections of parks buildings and the surveillance of parks areas including play areas and the delivery of effective maintenance regimes.

About the job

As an Urban Ranger you will ensure that all bylaws are adhered to and antisocial behaviour is managed to an appropriate level liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

The Urban Ranger Supervisors will support you to develop in the role and you will be encouraged to take on a variety of duties. You will receive supervision and on the job training to deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive, customer-focused manner.

Hours of work will include evening, weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis for which the appropriate enhancements will be paid. A full valid driving licence is essential.
