About The Service

Cardiff Castle is one of Wales’ leading heritage attractions and site of international significance. Located at the heart of the capital, within beautiful parklands, the Castle has nearly 2,000 years of history just waiting to be explored.

The Castle welcomes over half a million visitors a year in the open access public square, general tourism, functions, weddings, education visits and special events.

About the job

The post holder will welcome visitors, deliver guided tours, give historical information as well as providing general visitor assistance.

They will be expected provide first class customer service ensuring the best possible visitor experience and cementing the Castle’s reputation as a world class heritage attraction.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in a customer facing role in either a public speaking or heritage/tourism environment. A dedication to excellent customer service is essential and knowledge of Cardiff as a tourist destination would be preferable.

Candidates must be able to communicate in a calm and professional manner, have strong computer and numeracy skills and a flexible approach to working under pressure.

Additional information

The post is part-time and will work 25 hours a week. 

This vacancy is suitable for post share.

Please note this job includes regular work on weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
