An exciting opportunity has arisen within Communities for a Voids Team Leader within the Void Management Unit.

About the job

The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of Technical Managers and Technical Officers to deliver void works (work on empty properties) carried out by external contractors.

This means ensuring that works are delivered safely within set timescales keeping re-let times for void properties and rent loss are kept to a minimum.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful candidate will have a degree or studying for a similar qualification such as HNC in construction/building or an equivalent level of experience working within the field and ideally possess a relevant professional qualification in Health and Safety. You will have experience in staff supervision and will demonstrate the ability to manage available resources to ensure effective service delivery.

Experience of dealing with external contractor(s) in relation to carrying out work on domestic housing stock will be an advantage.

The service area has recently undergone a significant number of changes, and the right individual will need to be able to embrace and deliver change quickly in order to meet the requirements of the service.
