The Services to Schools Section of the Education Directorate carries responsibility for the following services; School Meals, Music, Storey Arms, E Learning, International School Links. Each is operated on a trading basis without any direct Council subsidy.
About the job
Following the secondment of the current postholder to Welsh Government this exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic business/commercial manager to assist with the management of a number of services provided to schools in Cardiff.
What We Are Looking For From You
A working knowledge of Local Authority services, experience of working in a LA environment and good people management skills.

This post is temporary until 31st March 2024.
Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
