About the job

The successful applicants will assist the Community Volunteer Coordinators to recruit, train, support and coordinate volunteers. Working with community organisations, businesses, and managers to provide guidance and support for the volunteers they are hosting.

What We Are Looking For From You

You will need to be able to communicate well in different settings, work well in a team, and have a positive attitude to new challenges with a willingness to adapt quickly to change.

Experience of creating and delivering informal training, personal development programmes whilst following systems, policies and procedures. A good working knowledge of common ICT software applications is needed and able to advise others on their use.

Experience of recruiting volunteers in a community setting would be a considerable advantage but is not essential, as training will be provided.

    There are 3 temporary posts available until 31st March 2026.

    Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
