Do you have the experience and skills to support the delivery of a £6.6m investment programme of skills and cluster support projects, across the 10 Unitary Authority areas of South-East Wales? 

CCR are looking for a confident and motivated Graduate Associate to support the delivery of their UKSPF skills & cluster programmes, on a secondment/fixed term contract up to 28th March 2025.  

This programme is integral to CCR’s Investment Strategy, so you will play a key role in helping to transform CCR’s economy, by supporting the Skills Project Manager in areas such as procurement and performance and financial monitoring to ensure delivery of projects on time, to budget and to achieve the desired outcomes.  

CCR’s investment plan for the UKSPF (UK Shared Prosperity Fund)identified local opportunities, challenges and projects that would benefit from the funding and work will now begin to finalise and deliver the programme on a project-by-project basis. 

 

About the job

To provide project support for the City Deal Office SPF Skills & Cluster teams. This will include engaging with partners, to provide a seamless interchange of communication and advice along with processing information through various platforms to ensure the smooth operation / execution of activities.  

  • To contribute to the overall coordination and delivery the Cardiff Capital Region Shared Prosperity Fund.
  • Working closely with the Skills & Talent team to ensure the smooth coordination and exchange of material is conducted in a timely fashion between City Deal and partners.
  • Identify methods / platforms of engagement to assist with efficiency of activity within the team   
  • Highlighting content to the communication team to develop information for the  website and social media together with managing wider platforms such as LinkedIn
  • Managing and feeding report platforms
  • Identifying and delivering opportunities for campaigns, events and ways to promote the company. 
  • Attending relevant partnership events, providing support to the team member for organising logistics for the event  
  • Coordinating team attendance at events and managing bookings 
  • Acting as an ambassador for the city deal programme at relevant events.   
  • Additional marketing related activities and tasks as required. 
  • Contribute to the development of activity aimed at raising the profile of City Deal
  • Support with data and information processing

 

What We Are Looking For From You

  • Awareness of the city deal aims and objectives.
  • Experience of effective skills & business support strategies; systems and processes
  • Experience of building and developing professional relationships
  • Knowledge of public and private sector operating environments relationships & networks 
  • Knowledge of social media platforms to enhance coverage
  • High level of organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate ‘win-win’ relationships
