Cardiff Council aims to provide a high quality, accessible service. The Service currently has a temporary vacancy for a Housing Trainee within the Housing Finance Team. The vacancy is temporary for 18 months. 

About the job

The main function of the post is to work alongside the team of Finance Officers who are responsible for the recovery of rent arrears for an area of the city and taking all appropriate recovery action. The Housing Trainee post will enable the successful candidate to get an overview of the service and to learn about the work through practical experience that will serve as a springboard to a career in housing. Full on the job training will be provided throughout the placement.

Essential requirements are, a good level of  literacy experience, good communication skills, the ability to learn and adapt quickly, able to work as part of a team, the ability to show a commitment to providing a good service and a positive attitude to new challenges.
