The Into Work Advice Service provides support to people across the city who are actively seeking employment or looking to upskill. The team assist citizens throughout Cardiff to become Digitally Included, help with creating CV’s, assist with Job applications and provide support to apply for and maintain Universal Credit accounts.
About the job
The training scheme will provide the trainee with a wide range of useful skills and experience of dealing with face-to-face, telephone and e-mail.
The successful applicant will help provide a professional face-to-face service to give practical help in job seeking skills, job applications, assisting clients to produce professional CV’s to assist clients to get ‘back to work’.
To assist with the provision of a high quality employment service for Cardiff. This will be via a number of channels, including face-to-face, web chat, e-mail and telephone
You will work well in a team, have excellent communication skills and have a flexible approach.
The postholder will be required to work from a number of different locations, including Central Library Hub and other Community Hub buildings on a rota basis. The postholder is also required to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
What We Are Looking For From You
There are no formal qualification or experience requirements, however the successful applicant must have good communication & IT skills and the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
A positive and customer focused attitude is essential as is the ability to work to targets and deadlines.
Knowledge of other languages, in particular Welsh, Arabic, Somali, Polish or Czech would be an advantage.
